About me

Having taken A level Art at school a good while back  I have now time to try and develop my art work.  I am combining my recent paintings with some of my photography on this web site.

I am a retired Chartered Land Surveyor living in Shropshire, after a few years working  in London, with time and desire to pursue these hobbies.

More recently I have had some tuition mostly with Shropshire based artist Rob Guy and also with Rob Leckey, and have also attended some courses at the Norfolk School of Painting.

Having worked in various media I now prefer oil painting and am keen to develop an impressionist style. I admire certain artists such as Martin Kinnear and Peter Wileman amongst others.

I joined Shropshire Art Society just over a year ago and after selling some paintings am keen to do a lot more. Have now been elected Chair to the society and look forward to helping its continuation and further development.

Always having been a keen photographer, still with a darkroom in the loft , have finally changed predominantly to digital imagery, full frame and medium format. I have had and enjoyed a short course with internationally regarded landscape photographer Joe Cornish.

I hope you enjoy browsing this site. Having just started this in June 2017 I will be adding more in due course.
